Courtyard of the castle(s, w, n and e)

The castle courtyard is a bustling place, with castle guards, staff and servants coming and going in a constant stream. The outer limit of the yard is defined by grey castle walls with doors and windows to rooms and towers. The center of the courtyard is taken up by the keep, a low, stone "castle within the castle." Lamps in sconces on both the keep and castle walls serve to light the courtyard at night. A particularly fine door to the west hints that the room beyond may be of some importance.
The west door is open.
The east door is open.
The only obvious exits are south, west, north and east.
